Alun Hoggett, a filmmaker from Longreach, has produced three short films about the ‘yatra’.

“May this film contribute to wider interest in the dharma.” – Alun Hoggett

1. ‘Yatra’

A 10 minute long film that captures the Spirit of the Yatra, shot during the Dharma Yatra 2010 along the ‘Gold Coast Hinterland Great Walk’ in the Lamington and Springbrook National Parks. The wonderful soundtrack to the film was created by Carla Thackrah.

2.  ‘The Walking Man’

A rough edit of footage from the Walking Man Yatra 2011 on Moreton Island. We post this footage especially for the people who generously allowed Alun to film.

3.   ‘Slow Days On Old Pathways’

Words by Lesley Synge, visuals by Alun Hoggett, music by Lila Meleisea. If you like the movie, you might like the book! ‘Mountains Belong to the People Who Love Them’ (by Lesley Synge, Post Pressed 2011) which contains a longer version of the Australian Dharma Yatra’s ‘Gold Coast Hinterland Great Walk’ as well as poetry about South Korea.
